Bavaria Balearics Cup

*** Report on the 15th Edition of our Regatta: 24th until 31st October 2009 ***

The last week of october we celebrated the 15th edition of the Bavaria Balearics Cup. There was little wind and lots of sun and the crews enjoyed the mild climate, especially those participants coming from Northern Europe. On sunday and monday qualifiying races were held and the boats subsequently divided into two groups, a "Silver" and a "Gold" Fleet to make for two homogenous groups and an exciting regatta. A total of seven races took place and it was not before the end final racing day that the overall winners could be confirmed. Winner in the Gold Fleet was the Bavaria 49 "Enjoy" with Christoph Neumann, in the Silver Fleet it was the crew around Hans Frei that triumphed with the Bavaria 40cruiser "Ruck Zuck".

*** Preview 16th Bavaria Balearics Cup: 23rd until 30th of October 2010 ***

The Bavaria Balearics Cup 2010 will be celebrated from the 23rd to the 30th of October 2010. Many teams that sailed with us this year already confirmed their participation for the coming regatta 2010. The new models Cruiser 32, 45 and 55 will then be available in Bavaria Charter to challenge the best crews and boats of 2009.

We will go again for two or three qualifying races. Furthermore a long distance race to Cabrera (weather permitting) is planned. Depending on the wind and weather conditions the other races will take place in the Bay of Palma. The complete progamme is still to be confirmed, perhaps we will have a festive maquee again for the celebrations.

You do not have to be a Bavaria owner to participate. You can charter your boat with us. Most of the participating teams do so.
